We are pleased to see that the NEN in the Netherlands is setting up a Task Force to create a clear standard for disinfection and sterilization using UV-C light. This important milestone will contribute to the effective and correct use of this innovative technique in the medical world.
A group of experts may soon start writing a Dutch Practical Guideline (NPR) for UV disinfection or sterilisation. The yet to be formed Task Force is looking for expansion of the group of experts in this field. Interested parties can apply until 1 August.

What is NEN and what does it do?
Good agreements about products, services and working methods are important. If safety is at stake, then they are even of vital importance. Such as agreements on playground equipment, homes, evacuation plans and cyber security. NEN has been the centre of standardization in the Netherlands for 100 years. NEN helps companies and other parties to make clear and mutually applicable agreements. NEN also represents Dutch companies and parties in making agreements on a European and even international level with centres in other countries.
